18 Days done
So, 18 days after my first check-up, I went back.
Blood Pressure: 121/94 (down from 170/110).
Weight: 253 (down from 265).
Things seem to be working. I’m now running 28 straight minutes/day. Missed one day since starting 7/6/09. It’s getting easier.
Picked up new inhaler on Tuesday, July 28th. 11 days (up from 10).
I hate mondays.
But not because I don’t like work. I hate them because it means I have to start running again.
I smoked approximately 5 cigarettes this weekend. That will come back to haunt me.
Happy Monday to all.
It was a bad night last night
A delicious and hipster doofus dinner with the wife at French Meadow with one glass of wine turned into 8 beers, 3 cigarettes, and some karkov vodka. Damnit.
Up to Grand Rapids for Brian’s wedding today. I’m very excited for the car ride. Hopefully pictures to follow!
Oh!
And for the record, this is my 2nd week in a row running M-F. YES.
This is how I started. Today I eat 1 hardboiled egg whole, and another without the yellow stuff. Then a glass of milk.
I just ran for a little over 2 miles. Approximately 23 minutes.
It.is.freezing.here. 52 degree. It’s july.
Starting Info
Some things to note before I get into this:
Starting point:
1) I haven’t worked out on a regular basis since 2005.
2) I have had asthma since birth.
3) I am approximately 40 lbs overweight.
4) I go through 1 ProAir inhaler every 10 days or so.
5) I occasionally smoke.
6) I recently discovered I have very high blood pressure.
7) I love to party.
The Goal:
1) Get blood pressure to normal 27-year-old levels.
2) Reduce use of inhaler by 1/2 (make inhaler last for 20 days).
3) Lose weight.
4) Quit smoking.
This should be interesting. Stay tuned.
